Description

Shipping Note: Aeonium are fragile succulents that are easily damaged by the process of shipping. Their leaves will often bruise or curl while in transit. With proper care in their new home they will grow and shed the old, damaged leaves. Sadly, this is just the nature of Aeonium and we do not accept claims for this expected shipping damage. Please order with that understanding.

Aeonium leucoblepharum is a fantastic variety with an impressive range of coloring. Green and pink leaves look like a starburst with bold burgundy lines marking the center of each leaf. This succulent will form a fairly large, branching plant. Incredible variety when used in mixed containers. Originally from east Africa, Aeoniuim Stripe cannot survive freezing temperatures. It should be grown indoors during winter with bright light.

Succulent Overview:

Aeoniums grow in a bush shape with rosettes on the ends of long stems. Aeoniums grow most actively from winter thru spring. During this time they should be watered whenever the soil dries out. They also appreciate a diluted fertilizer during their growing period. In the summer heat Aeoniums are semi-dormant, reducing their need for water. Green varieties will look better with some light shade while dark varieties have the best coloring in full sun. Because Aeonium like conditions that aren't too hot or too cold or too dry, they are very adaptable as a houseplant. These easy care succulent plants look great in containers or in the landscape of temperate climates. Similar to Sempervivum, most aeoniums will die after flowering. Aeonium are native to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde Isles and Morocco.
